Entry and acceptance of these terms

By entering Edinburgh Golf Week 2027, paying a deposit or making full payment, you confirm that you have read, understood and accepted these terms and conditions.

The event entry fee is £245 per person and includes five rounds of golf at the advertised participating venues, together with entry into the main event competitions.

Deposits and balance payments

A deposit of £50 per person is required to secure an entry. The remaining balance must be paid in full by 31st March 2027.

Places are not guaranteed until the required deposit has been received. Where the balance is not paid by the due date, we reserve the right to cancel the booking and offer the place to another golfer.

Cancellation by a golfer

Cancellation requests must be made by email. Refunds are calculated according to the date on which the written cancellation is received:

• More than 90 days before the event begins: a full refund of sums paid, less a £25 administration fee.
• Between 60 and 90 days before the event begins: a refund of 25% of sums paid.
• Fewer than 60 days before the event begins: no refund will normally be made.

Where a golfer cancels fewer than 60 days before the event, we may provide a refund if we are able to fill the place. Any such refund may be reduced by reasonable administration costs or unrecoverable charges.

Player substitutions

A golfer who can no longer attend may request to transfer their place to another eligible golfer. Substitutions are subject to approval, availability and any administration requirements imposed by the participating golf clubs.

Requests should be made as early as possible and must include the replacement golfer's full name, contact details and handicap information.

Course closure, weather and disruption

Golf is an outdoor activity and play may be affected by weather, course conditions, safety concerns or decisions made by the participating golf clubs.

If a course is closed and the affected round cannot be rearranged during the event, we will aim to provide each affected golfer with a voucher or alternative arrangement to play the course at a suitable later date.

Any voucher or alternative arrangement may be subject to the golf club's availability, booking rules, expiry date and other reasonable restrictions.

Tee times and course schedule

Tee times and daily course allocations are planned in advance but may change for operational reasons.

Confirmed tee times may move by up to approximately 20 minutes from the time originally advised. Where a more significant alteration is required, we will provide as much notice as reasonably possible.

Handicaps, eligibility and competition rules

Golfers must provide accurate handicap information and meet any eligibility requirements communicated for the event. Players are responsible for ensuring that their handicap record is current and that they comply with the Rules of Golf, local rules and event instructions.

All five rounds are intended to be handicap-counting competitions. Competition formats, handicap allowances, teeing arrangements and prize rules will be confirmed in the event information issued before play.

Conduct and pace of play

All participants are expected to behave respectfully towards fellow golfers, event staff, golf club employees and other course users.

Serious misconduct, abusive behaviour, deliberate damage, repeated breaches of club rules or unreasonable disruption may result in removal from the event without a refund.

Buggies and accessibility

Golf buggy availability is controlled by each participating golf club and may be restricted by weather, ground conditions or club policy. A buggy cannot be guaranteed unless it has been confirmed directly.

Golfers who require a buggy or other assistance for medical or mobility reasons should contact us as early as possible so that we can discuss the available arrangements.

Prizes and event changes

Prizes, sponsors, competition formats and supporting activities may change where reasonably necessary. Substitute prizes may be provided where an advertised item becomes unavailable.

We reserve the right to make reasonable amendments to the event programme where required by circumstances outside our control, while seeking to preserve the overall quality and value of the event.

Photography and event media

Photographs and video may be taken during Edinburgh Golf Week for event coverage, results, social media and future promotion. Golfers who do not wish to appear in identifiable promotional material should notify the event team before play begins.

Personal belongings and personal responsibility

Golfers remain responsible for their own clubs, equipment, vehicles and personal belongings. Participation is at the golfer's own risk, subject to any legal responsibility that cannot be excluded.

Participants should ensure they are fit to play, carry any required medication and arrange suitable personal travel or golf insurance where appropriate.

Communication and contact details

Important event information will normally be sent by email. Golfers are responsible for providing accurate contact details and checking their inbox, including junk or spam folders, before the event.
